Letter from the President

Dear Residents,

Greetings from the RWA Committee. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the residents for their support and help in our effort to make this a very beautiful colony. This colony is ours and lets make it the best in Delhi.

Now for some information

a)     Our society has been registered. This was long pending but has got done now.

b)     Now that we are registered, we are applying to the counsellor to be put under the Private Public Partnership (PPP) Scheme of the MCD so that we get a lump sum of money for maintaining our colony per month. I do not know the amount as yet but will let you know.

c)     The RWA office has been handed over to Ms Kapila Gaur. She will decide what is to be done with this structure.

d)     We have 2 guards from SLV agency to manage our gates and have got 4 guards from DSS to come in our pay roll. I do not think there is any problem right now. But if any of the residents happen to catch the guards missing or sleeping please  inform us and we will take the necessary action.

e)     Street Lights – Due to heavy rains in Sept. and Oct. we had a lot of street lights going on the blink but now that the rains have gone, the lights seems to be O.K.

f)     Park Lights – Most of the park lights were non-functional. We have the light in the park behind A Block rectified, the lights in the park behind B91 to B120 is working, but we need to fix the lighting in the park behind B1 to B30, B31 to B60 and B61 to B90. Give us a little time and we should be able to sort this out.

g)     Guard House – We definitely need a guard house for our guards who are sitting in the cold and the rain. I will be sending a circular for voluntary contribution towards a Porta Cabin. Please be generous enough and donate towards this.

h)     Water – The Sonia Vihar water system is in place thanks to Mr. Anil Mulla.

i)     Monthly Subscription – I would like to thank the residents for their support in this. Now we have almost all resident paying towards this. The only ones who are not paying are the 20 flats that are closed and 6 other residents. I would request these 6 residents to also start paying as this money is going towards the up keep of our colony. I would also request the 20 locked flats to please pay this subscription. This is mandatory like your house tax. So whether you are living in it or not, you still need to pay.

j)     I would like to put down a few do’s & donts to make our colony a better place.

1.    Car Stickers are a must. So all cars who do not have sticker can buy at the gate or from me and use it. This is for security purposes. You will be stopped if you do not have a sticker.

2.    Servants ID Cards. All residents whose work force do not have it should get one immediately.

3.    No trucks with materials will be allowed into the colony between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

4.    Those residents who are doing renovation should keep in mind that no labourers will be allowed to stay on in the premises at night. This is for security purposes.

5.    When renovation is done, please keep in mind that the surroundings must be kept clean. Some residents pile up their rubble on the front roads. This looks very dirty and also takes away our parking place.

6.    This is for B Block. Please park your cars properly outside the end gate. Otherwise there is no space for cars who come in late.

7.    Please do not feed stray dogs inside the colony. They have become a real nuisance.

8.    Speed breakers are being put in between A & B Block.

9.    The boundary wall of our colony has been painted. The low wall in between Block B61 to B90 has to be still done.

10.  We have organised a GBM on the 16th of Jan., 2011. Please hand over in writing the agenda that you want us to take up. This should come to us before the 10th of Jan., 2011. Only agenda that is circulated will be taken up.

With this I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the working committee. May 2011 be a good year for all of us.

Thanking you.                                                                                           Your’s Sincerely
